Product Description

Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) is a type of cellulose ether, which is produced by first methylating cellulose and then performing partial hydroxylation on the methylated cellulose. Its CAS Number is 9004-65-3. HPMC appears as a white or off-white powder or granule, has no special odor, and exhibits stable chemical properties with good tolerance to acids, alkalis and enzymes; additionally, its aqueous solution maintains stability within the pH range of 3.0-11.0. It is widely used in fields such as food, medicine, construction, coatings and inks.

APPLICATION

1. Construction industry: As a water-retaining agent and retarder of cement mortar, it can make the mortar pumpable.
